Pieter Doman

Pieter holds a B.Sc. (QS) degree from the University of the Free State and have been in the green energy, mining and petrochemical industry since 2010 as a Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager and Operations Manager. His career took off at a professional Quantity Surveying firm, continued at one of Africa’s biggest construction companies and is currently employed by Planning and Cost Engineering Services (Pty) Ltd.

Enjoying theoretical, complex and global concepts, Pieter is a strategic thinker who can clearly see the benefits and flaws of most situations. Pieter is a conceptual problem solver, intensely intellectual, logical and exhibiting flashes of creative brilliance. He likes to develop models for improving the way to solve difficult problems. Pieter gains great pleasure from improving upon existing techniques with the objective of maximizing efficiency and cost effectiveness. He is intensely curious and is always seeking to find coherence in endless amounts of data.

In a commercial sense, Pieter has successfully delivered the execution of more than 20 projects across the African continent through various contracting strategies and formats. Pieter claims that finding the optimum balance between human resources and technology is the key to commercial success.
