Stephan de Kock
As Director of PaCE QS Services, Stephan is known for his transparent business-minded approach as advisor and leader in the active growth of the business. Stephan started his career in 2008 as a trainee/student candidate quantity surveyor in the mining and engineering sector whilst completing his BSc QS (Hons) degree from the University of the Free State.
From early on, a firm foundation was formed for discipline and firm work ethic to coordinate and collate information which is demanded from this multi-level specialty. Stephan gained extensive experience as a professional in the industry which includes work on various projects across the globe, ranging from small-medium size projects to mega capital projects in all stages of construction, from concept to final account.
Stephan is affiliated with the SA Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) and The Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS).
Further to his ability is to take calculated action on projects, his determination for proper team allocation and management, the understanding of effective cost management processes, he strives in delivering quality service conforming to customer expectation on a consistent basis.
While working alongside his dynamic and experienced partners and industry professionals, Stephan uses his intuitive leadership ability to set cornerstones for sound practice with each client and each project PaCE QS Services engages in business with.
Stephan is an accomplished all-rounder with a personal drive to successfully build and deepen long-lasting relationships. He is the heartbeat of his family, which defines the core of his loyalty and character, and he is an absolute opportunist who exceeds expectations. To live his purpose-filled passion for his career and his most beloved, he’s got a good sense of humor, whether on the golf course or watching the best sport SuperSport offers.
Being privileged to enjoy the South African bushveld on their family-owned farm, whether it is an early morning expectant game drive amongst the big five or listening to the crackling sound of a true bonfire under the African night sky. Being outdoors and in touch with nature, his feet steadfastly on the ground is a true reflection of his selfless and strong approach to stride through life’s adversities and soar in times of celebration.
